I am a proud third-generation Oregonian, raised in Yamhill County, with over two decades of experience in multiple facets of Labor and Employment law in Oregon.

I have extensive labor relations experience in both labor and management. I worked at the Oregon Nurses Association for over nine years as a Labor Representative in collective bargaining and contract administration in private sector healthcare. I served as a Labor Relations Manager for Multnomah County advising client Departments, responding to contract grievances, unemployment claims, civil service appeals, and conducting negotiations on behalf of the employer.  

 

In 2015, I started my dispute resolution practice as one of three mediators for the Oregon Employment Relations Board (ERB). As a labor mediator, I mediated over one-hundred disputes between public employers and employee organizations throughout Oregon. My work encompassed both training and facilitation, as well as mediating collective bargaining disputes, union grievances, unfair labor practice cases, and civil service appeals.

Currently I also serve on the following:

 

• Ombudsperson for the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation, Drivers Advisory Committee, resolving disputes and policy issues between Uber and Lyft drivers and the Transportation Network Companies 

• Panel mediator and facilitator, Oregon Department of Education for Special Education Dispute Resolution program

I began my legal career in private practice, representing individual and class action clients in Wage and Hour, Family Medical Leave Act, Title VII, and other employment-related cases. Additionally, I worked at the Oregon State Bar as a public affairs attorney in the law improvement and government relations program. 

 

When not working, you can find me outdoors rain or shine, hiking, running, or gardening.

I am a certified yoga instructor and an avid traveler.
